    Windows: Press Windows Key + R, type %APPDATA%\Thunderbird\Profiles</code>, and press Enter.

    macOS: Open Finder, click Go > Go to Folder, and type /Library/Application Support/Thunderbird/Profiles/.

    Locate the folder ending in .default or .default-release. This is your destination folder. Step 4: Transfer the Data

    Because Eudora OSE and Thunderbird share a common architectural heritage, you can directly transfer the core data files. Open your Eudora OSE profile folder from Step 1.

    Select and copy all the contents inside this folder (do not copy the folder itself, just the files and subfolders inside it). Open your Thunderbird profile folder from Step 3. Paste the copied files into the Thunderbird profile folder.

    When your operating system asks if you want to replace or overwrite existing files, select Yes or Replace. Step 5: Launch Thunderbird and Verify Open Mozilla Thunderbird.

    Your email accounts, folder structures, archived messages, and address books should now appear exactly as they did in Eudora OSE.

    Send a test email to ensure your SMTP (outgoing server) settings transferred correctly. Troubleshooting and Alternative Methods

    If your data does not appear automatically, or if you prefer a clean installation without moving old settings configuration files, you can import components individually:

    Importing MBOX Files (Emails): Eudora OSE stores mail in standard MBOX format. You can install the “ImportExportTools NG” add-on in Thunderbird to manually browse to your old Eudora OSE Mail folder and import specific mail folders.

    Importing Address Books: In Eudora OSE, export your address book as a .csv or .vcf file. In Thunderbird, open the Tools menu, select Import, choose Address Books, and select your exported file.
